== In-game description ==

Weapon type: Arrow
Attack type: Thrust

Arrow with point dipped in poison.
Ensures the demise of prey in a hunt,
or the target in an assassination.
Once an enemy is poisoned, one need
only wait.

== Locations ==
=== Merchant purchase ===
Firelink aqueduct / Lower Undead Burg

Cost: 100 Souls

Stock: ∞

'''Requirements'''
* Keep the female Undead Merchant alive and friendly.

# Use the Basement Key from Undead Parish to open the Lower Burg descent near the Hellkite bridge. Continue past the dogs and assassin ambushes toward the Capra Demon fog.
# Take the stairs beside that fog down toward the Depths entrance. Follow the adjoining tower stairs up to the aqueduct passage.
# Speak through the bars to the merchant, then open the nearby shortcut door back toward Firelink. Her stall can be revisited through that shortcut.
# Buy Poison Arrow from the female Undead Merchant's ammunition inventory.

== Notes ==
* Equipping and firing: Equip in an arrow slot and use an ordinary bow. This ammunition cannot be fired by a greatbow or crossbow.
* Reinforcement and scaling: Ammunition cannot be reinforced. Improve the bow or crossbow itself, and meet that weapon's requirements. This ammunition has no independent attribute scaling; the launcher, distance, hit location and target defenses affect the final damage.
* Damage and buildup: Has 42 base physical attack and applies poison buildup. Poison buildup is separate from the arrow's immediate HP damage; it is not a promise of that much extra damage on each hit.
* Triggering poison: Land repeated hits close enough together to overcome the target's poison resistance before its buildup drains away. Once poison takes hold, it causes gradual HP loss. Resistant or immune enemies may need a different approach, so there is no universal arrow count for poisoning every target.
* Using the effect: After poison is active, you can stop shooting and let it deal damage while staying out of the enemy's reach. This is ordinary poison, not Toxic. The female Undead Merchant supplies unlimited replacements; the DLC adds no separate poison ammunition type.
