Darkroot Basin

1. From the basin, defeat the Hydra without walking into the deep water. Follow the shallow water around the edge of its lake into the cave at the back.
2. Reload the area if the golden golem is absent, then defeat it to free Dusk. Agree to her request and return to the shore near the large rock where her summon sign appears.
3. Summon Dusk and speak to her. Return to the cave where the golem stood and collect the outfit from the newly available corpse.

• The water beyond the visible shallow edge is a fatal drop.

• Pieces: Crown of Dusk, Antiquated Dress, Antiquated Gloves, Antiquated Skirt.
• Full outfit: Together these pieces weigh 5 and provide 0 poise. Each slot can be worn separately.
• Different upgrade paths: Crown of Dusk cannot be reinforced. Antiquated Dress uses Twinkling Titanite to reach +5. Antiquated Gloves uses Twinkling Titanite to reach +5. Antiquated Skirt uses Twinkling Titanite to reach +5.
• Crown of Dusk: The crown increases damaging spells by 20%, but reduces your total magic defense by 30% after its own defense is added. That is a defense penalty, not a fixed 30% increase to every incoming hit.
• Spell-buff limits: The crown does not strengthen damage added by weapon-enchantment spells. Its damage bonus can combine with the appropriate spell-damage ring.
• Other pieces: The dress, gloves and skirt do not share the crown's damage bonus or defense penalty. They use Twinkling Titanite, while the crown cannot be reinforced.
