Strength and Dexterity scale physical damage equally. Its native requirement is 30 Strength, but the mandatory two-handed firing stance makes 20 Strength sufficient. It also requires 20 Dexterity.

Requirements

  • Reach the upper balcony of the cathedral's main sentinel hall.
  1. In the hall before Ornstein and Smough, reach the upper balcony and find the broken stained-glass window. Step through onto the outside stairs.
  2. Hug the cathedral wall along the narrow ledge, then drop over the railing onto the balcony holding the corpse. Collect the greatbow and arrow.
  3. Leave through the broken section of railing toward the Giant Blacksmith's exterior area. Watch the winged demon below before dropping.

  • Scaling and requirements: Strength and Dexterity scale physical damage equally. Its native requirement is 30 Strength, but the mandatory two-handed firing stance makes 20 Strength sufficient. It also requires 20 Dexterity.
  • Great arrows: Uses Dragonslayer Arrows and Gough's Great Arrows. Ordinary arrows and crossbow bolts do not fit. The heavy firing sequence and recoil require a stable position away from a ledge.
