In-game description

Coin made of copper. Its face shows
Old Man McLoyf, god of medicine and drink.

Even coins of great value in the world of
men have little value in Lordran, where the
accepted currency is souls.

Those who dream of returning to the outside
world are fond of carrying these around.

Where to find

Gift or encounter reward

Firelink Shrine

  1. From the bonfire, enter the covered ruins where Petrus, the cleric with mace and shield, stands.
  2. Speak to him repeatedly through his introduction until he gives you the Copper Coin. Do not attack him.

Notes

  • Exchange: Feed it to Kingseeker Frampt for 1,000 souls after his service becomes available at Firelink.
  • No discovery buff: This coin does not work like luck-boosting coins in other games. It supplies no Item Discovery bonus when carried.
  • Keep or spend: Keeping it preserves the item; feeding it consumes that copy. Shops do not accept it as an alternate currency.
