In-game description

Common miracle amongst cleric knights.
Create shockwave.

This quickly-acting miracle inflicts no
damage, but propels foes back and defends
against arrows. Cleric knights use this
miracle when charging into enemy mobs.

Where to find

Merchant purchase

Firelink Shrine

Cost: 4000 Souls · Stock: 1

Requirements

  • Keep Petrus alive and friendly.
  • Join the Way of White to use his teaching service.
  1. From the central bonfire, enter the nearby covered stone ruins and speak to the cleric carrying a mace and shield.
  2. Exhaust his introductions, join the Way of White when offered and open his miracle shop. If he is temporarily away with Rhea's party, return after their expedition has advanced.
  3. Buy Force from Petrus of Thorolund's spell inventory.

Merchant purchase

Undead Parish

Cost: 1000 Souls · Stock: 1

Requirements

  • Rescue Rhea and keep her alive and friendly.
  1. After defeating the Capra Demon, meet Rhea and her two companions at Firelink Shrine. Speak to Rhea and Petrus, then return after their expedition leaves for the Catacombs.
  2. In the Tomb of the Giants, descend into the pit near Patches and find Rhea beside her two hollow bodyguards.
  3. Defeat Vince and Nico without hitting Rhea, then speak to her. Leave by the nearby tunnel, ladder and hidden wall.
  4. Return to the altar inside the Undead Parish church, where she now sells miracles. Buy the spells you need promptly before advancing more bosses.
  5. Buy Force from Rhea of Thorolund's spell inventory.
  • Rhea can be murdered after further boss progression. Buying her needed miracles immediately avoids losing this shop; do not attack Petrus before her party first arrives at Firelink.

Notes

  • Requirements and charges: Requires 12 Faith. Uses 1 attunement slot and provides 21 charges per attuned copy before equipment modifiers.
  • Casting tool: Cast with a talisman. Most talismans gain Magic Adjustment from Faith, while Velka's Talisman uses Intelligence and the Thorolund Talisman has fixed power. The spell's own Faith requirement still applies.
  • Shop stock: Each listed stock is the number of spell copies in that inventory, not the number of casts. Buying a second copy can provide another charge pool if you have the slots to attune it.
  • Shockwave: Pushes or staggers susceptible targets without dealing direct HP damage. Knocking a target off an edge can still kill it.
  • Projectiles: Can deflect suitable incoming projectiles when timed correctly. It is not a persistent shield and does not push every large enemy.
  • Comparison: Wrath of the Gods adds damaging magic to a similar close-range burst. Force trades damage for many more charges and a lower Faith requirement.
