the first dead, Gravelord Nito.
Giant Gravelord swords jut out in vicinity.

Many have died, and many eyes were claimed to
realize the Greatsword Dance, a Gravelord
ritual known only by his closest servants.

Requirements

  • Keep Nito alive and carry an Eye of Death.
  • Have ten Eyes of Death available for rank offerings.
  1. Bring at least one Eye of Death and reach the Catacombs passage guarded by a Titanite Demon. Three Eyes of Death lie beyond that demon if you need a first supply.
  2. Inspect the open coffin along the same passage and choose to nestle inside. Wait for the transport to Nito's chamber.
  3. Speak to Nito's coffin and join the Gravelord Servant covenant to receive Gravelord Sword Dance. Use the transport coffin to return.
  4. Offer a total of ten Eyes of Death to Nito to reach rank +1 and receive Gravelord Greatsword Dance.
  • Killing Nito prevents further covenant joining and rank rewards for this journey.

Notes

  • Requirements and charges: Has no Intelligence or Faith requirement. Uses 1 attunement slot and provides 40 charges per attuned copy before equipment modifiers.
  • Casting tool: Cast with a talisman. Most talismans gain Magic Adjustment from Faith, while Velka's Talisman uses Intelligence and the Thorolund Talisman has fixed power. The spell's own Faith requirement still applies.
  • Covenant copy limit: This covenant reward is awarded once per character. Rejoining or beginning a later journey does not supply an extra copy to stack in another attunement slot.
  • Ground attack: Creates a stronger, wider version of Gravelord Sword Dance. It deals magic damage and can hit several targets around the caster.
  • Charges: Its 40-charge pool does not mean 40 full casts. A complete sequence can consume 20, leaving about two complete sequences before replenishment.
  • Casting power: No Faith requirement is attached to the miracle itself. Its damage still uses talisman Magic Adjustment and benefits from Gravelord rank; an interrupted cast can produce fewer swords.
