In-game description

Pyromancy foreign to the Great Swamp.
Emit acid which corrodes weapons and armor.

Not all pyromancy originates in the Great
Swamp. One hears rumors of unknown
pyromancers inhabiting various lands, and
this spell is the work of one such outlander.

Treasure pickup

Painted World graveyard

Enter the Painted World with the Peculiar Doll and reach the central courtyard with the Phalanx enemies.
Enter the side graveyard filled with impaled corpses and torch Hollows, where Jeremiah can invade. Turn right and follow the wall around the outcrop.
Collect Acid Surge from the corpse hidden behind that outcrop. Human form and Jeremiah's invasion are not required for this pickup.

Requirements and charges: Has no Intelligence or Faith requirement. Uses 1 attunement slot and provides 2 charges per attuned copy before equipment modifiers.
Casting tool: Cast with a Pyromancy Flame. Its reinforcement determines Magic Adjustment; Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence and Faith do not increase its spell power. Dexterity can affect the casting speed of some offensive spells, separately from damage.
Durability damage: Creates an acid cloud that wears down opposing players' equipped weapons and armor. It is not a normal direct-HP attack for clearing ordinary enemies.
Limits: Does not supply poison or Toxic buildup. Its purpose is equipment damage in PvP, and targets can leave the cloud before it runs its course.
