The Witch of Izalith, in an ambitious attempt
to copy the First Flame, created instead the
Flame of Chaos, a twisted bed of life.

Fair Lady's chamber, Quelaag's Domain

Requirements

  • Keep the Fair Lady alive.
  • Have 30 Humanity available to offer.
  1. Defeat Quelaag, ring the lower Bell of Awakening and descend the stairs beneath the bell.
  2. Strike the illusory wall in the lower room to reveal Eingyi and the hidden bonfire. Answer yes when he asks whether you are a new servant, then speak to the Fair Lady beside the bonfire.
  3. Join the Chaos Servant covenant and receive Great Chaos Fireball. The Old Witch's Ring translates her dialogue but is not required to join.
  4. Offer a total of 30 Humanity to the Fair Lady to reach Chaos Servant rank +2 and receive Chaos Storm. This also unlocks the early Lost Izalith shortcut.

Notes

  • Requirements and charges: Has no Intelligence or Faith requirement. Uses 2 attunement slots and provides 20 charges per attuned copy before equipment modifiers.
  • Casting tool: Cast with a Pyromancy Flame. Its reinforcement determines Magic Adjustment; Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence and Faith do not increase its spell power. Dexterity can affect the casting speed of some offensive spells, separately from damage.
  • Covenant copy limit: This covenant reward is awarded once per character. Rejoining or beginning a later journey does not supply an extra copy to stack in another attunement slot.
  • Fire and lava: Raises fire pillars that leave lava where they erupt. The lava follow-up depends on the target remaining in the affected ground area.
  • Charge pool: The twenty charges are spent while pillars are produced, rather than one charge per complete storm. It also needs two attunement slots.
  • Humanity: The damage does not gain Chaos weapon-style scaling from held Humanity.
  • Covenant use: Rank +2 awards it. Leaving the covenant does not disable the learned pyromancy, though covenant departures can reduce offering credit before you reach that reward.
