Requirements

  • Join the Forest Hunter covenant and speak to Shiva in Darkroot Garden.
  • Remain a Forest Hunter and keep Shiva, his bodyguard and the forest hunters friendly.
  1. At the ruins beyond the Crest of Artorias door in Darkroot Garden, speak to Alvina in the window and join the Forest Hunter covenant. Speak to Shiva outside the ruins before leaving.
  2. Remain in the covenant and travel to Blighttown's swamp. From the bonfire in the drainage tunnel, follow the edge of the swamp toward the wooden waterwheel lift. Shiva waits at ground level in front of the wheel.
  3. Speak to Shiva of the East and buy Demon's Spear from the weapon inventory.

Enemy drop

Anor Londo

Requirements

  • Reach the winged demons below the cathedral archers.
  1. From the rotating bridge area in Anor Londo, take the route down toward the narrow flying buttresses and the cathedral's Silver Knight archers. The winged spear-carrying demons on this approach can drop the weapon.
  2. Fight on a platform rather than the narrowest ledge, then inspect the loot. These ordinary enemies respawn after resting, allowing repeat attempts.

Notes

  • Requirements and weight: Requires 12 Strength, 10 Dexterity and weighs 4.0.
  • Physical and lightning: Deals physical and lightning damage. Strength and Dexterity scale the physical component equally. Faith does not improve its innate lightning damage.
  • Long reach: Offers very long melee reach at a weight of 4. Its strong thrust takes time to prepare, and its narrow thrusting coverage does not replace a sweeping attack against a crowd.
  • Shield use: Can thrust behind a compatible raised shield. Watch stamina when attacking and blocking together; the weapon's reach does not prevent a guard break.
  • Reinforcement and buffs: Reinforce to +5 with Demon Titanite. It cannot use resins or weapon-enchantment spells and has no elemental conversion branches.
