Rescue
Requirements: You have reached the room of barrels near the butcher area.
What to do: Roll into the barrel holding Laurentius, then speak to him.
Result: He moves to Firelink Shrine.
Consequences and cutoffs: Use a roll rather than swinging a weapon at him.
Firelink Shrine
Teacher
Requirements: Laurentius has been rescued.
What to do: Tell him that pyromancy is not unsavoury to accept his teaching.
Result: He sells basic pyromancies and reinforces the normal flame to +15.
Consequences and cutoffs: His later question about your advanced pyromancy is different. Answering yes sends him away and loses his shop.
Firelink Shrine
Keep Teacher
Requirements: Laurentius asks where you learned an advanced pyromancy.
What to do: Answer no to keep him teaching at Firelink. This is a different question from his original offer to teach.
Result: Retain his shop and normal-flame reinforcement.
Consequences and cutoffs: Buy Iron Flesh and Flash Sweat before choosing to send him away; the other teachers do not sell these spells.
Firelink Shrine
Change Mind
Requirements: You declined his initial teaching offer.
What to do: Speak again and accept his follow-up offer if you want his services.
Result: The initial refusal is reversible while he remains friendly.
Consequences and cutoffs: Read which question is being asked; yes accepts the second teaching offer but sends him away on the later advanced-pyromancy question.
Blighttown
Hollow Ending
Requirements: Answer yes to his advanced-pyromancy question.
What to do: After reloading, look near the swamp bonfire for his hollow form.
Result: His Firelink shop and reinforcement service end.
Consequences and cutoffs: The later hostile encounter does not unlock a replacement shop.
