Keep Domhnall of Zena alive and friendly.
Defeat Ornstein first, then defeat the empowered Smough in the second phase.

His first shop is in the Depths, beside the large door leading to Blighttown and near the approach to the Gaping Dragon arena.
After both Bells of Awakening have been rung, return to Firelink Shrine. Walk up the aqueduct route toward Undead Burg and look beneath it for his seated figure. Carefully jump from the approach onto his ledge.
Open Domhnall of Zena's purchase menu. The pieces are sold separately.
Inventory: Smough's Helm. Cost: 6,000 Souls. Stock: 1; Smough's Armor. Cost: 7,000 Souls. Stock: 1; Smough's Gauntlets. Cost: 5,000 Souls. Stock: 1; Smough's Leggings. Cost: 5,000 Souls. Stock: 1.

Full outfit: Together these pieces weigh 45.2 and provide 91 poise. Each slot can be worn separately.
Reinforcement: Every piece cannot be reinforced.
Boss order: Defeating empowered Smough unlocks this outfit. Finishing with empowered Ornstein unlocks Ornstein's armor instead for that journey.
Appearance and movement: The large body shape does not make the wearer use Smough's attacks. Movement still follows your total equipment load.
