Requirements

  • Keep Eingyi alive and gain his trust through the visible egg infection.
  1. After ringing Quelaag's bell, go downstairs and strike the illusory wall to find the Fair Lady's hidden bonfire. Answer yes when Eingyi asks whether you are a new servant so he lets you through.
  2. Contract a parasite egg from an Egg Carrier's grab in Demon Ruins and wait until the infection becomes visible on your head. Speak to Eingyi in that state to earn his trust and unlock the poison-spell inventory.
  3. Buy the spell before curing the egg with Egg Vermifuge. Once his trust is established, the infection does not need to remain active for later purchases.
  4. Buy Toxic Mist from Eingyi's spell inventory.

Notes

  • Requirements and charges: Has no Intelligence or Faith requirement. Uses 1 attunement slot and provides 1 charge per attuned copy before equipment modifiers.
  • Casting tool: Cast with a Pyromancy Flame. Its reinforcement determines Magic Adjustment; Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence and Faith do not increase its spell power. Dexterity can affect the casting speed of some offensive spells, separately from damage.
  • Shop stock: Each listed stock is the number of spell copies in that inventory, not the number of casts. Buying a second copy can provide another charge pool if you have the slots to attune it.
  • Toxic cloud: Breathes a short-lived cloud that builds Toxic. The inflicted status can drain health for up to 600 seconds and slows stamina recovery.
  • Different status: Toxic is separate from ordinary poison. Increasing flame reinforcement does not raise the fixed toxic drain, and an immune target cannot be made susceptible just by using a stronger flame.
  • Teacher condition: Eingyi's trust comes from the visible parasite-egg infection. The Old Witch's Ring alone does not unlock these purchases, and the Intelligence condition for his flame gift is a separate requirement.
