In-game description

Advanced pyromancy of Quelana of Izalith.
Charm Undead and gain temporary allies.

The living are lured by flame, and this
relationship is part and parcel to the art of
pyromancy. Can be used by either gender.

Where to find

Merchant purchase

Blighttown swamp

Cost: 10000 Souls · Stock: 1

Requirements

  • Make Quelana appear and speak to her before killing the Bed of Chaos.
  • Keep her alive and complete purchases before she finishes her quest and departs.
  1. Upgrade a Pyromancy Flame to at least +10 with Laurentius or Eingyi. Return to the swamp before defeating the Bed of Chaos and find the woman seated against a stone pillar near the approach to Quelaag's mound.
  2. Speak to Quelana to establish the encounter and open her shop. Her appearance threshold is +10, not the +15 needed to ascend a flame.
  3. Keep Laurentius at Firelink by declining his later request for the source of your advanced pyromancy if you still need his services.
  4. Buy Undead Rapport from Quelana of Izalith's spell inventory.

Notes

  • Requirements and charges: Has no Intelligence or Faith requirement. Uses 1 attunement slot and provides 7 charges per attuned copy before equipment modifiers.
  • Casting tool: Cast with a Pyromancy Flame. Its reinforcement determines Magic Adjustment; Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence and Faith do not increase its spell power. Dexterity can affect the casting speed of some offensive spells, separately from damage.
  • Shop stock: Each listed stock is the number of spell copies in that inventory, not the number of casts. Buying a second copy can provide another charge pool if you have the slots to attune it.
  • Temporary ally: At very short range, charms a susceptible Undead enemy for 30 seconds. Charmed enemies can attack nearby opponents rather than the caster.
  • Target limits: Does not charm every enemy with an Undead-looking model, bosses or other players. Attacking a charmed enemy can make it retaliate.
  • Duration and multiplayer: Lingering Dragoncrest Ring does not extend the charm. Friendly summoned phantoms can use it, but invading hostile phantoms cannot.
