Reinforcement and comparison

Intelligence supplies its sorcery spell-power scaling. It shares the Sorcerer's Catalyst's casting progression, so obtaining it after the Four Kings does not provide a late-game power increase by itself.

Cannot be reinforced or converted to another upgrade path. It also cannot receive pine resins or weapon-enchantment spells.

In-game description

Weapon type: Catalyst
Attack type: Strike

Catalyst belonging to Beatrice, the rogue
witch. Contrasts with Vinheim catalysts.

This ancient catalyst shows signs of being
used for age-old sorceries. It has passed
the hands of many generations to get here.

Where to find

Corpse pickup

Valley of Drakes

Requirements

  • Defeat the Four Kings.
  1. After defeating the Four Kings, return to the Valley of Drakes entrance nearest Firelink. From Firelink, take the lift to New Londo and go up the tower stairs to the small gate leading into the valley.
  2. The gate needs the Key to New Londo Ruins or the Master Key. Cross the small wooden bridge toward the Blighttown entrance and inspect the cliffside corpse near this shortcut. Collect the catalyst with the Witch Set.

Notes

  • Requirements and weight: Requires 6 Strength, 10 Intelligence and weighs 2.
  • Scaling: Intelligence supplies its sorcery spell-power scaling. It shares the Sorcerer's Catalyst's casting progression, so obtaining it after the Four Kings does not provide a late-game power increase by itself.
  • Availability: The corpse appears after the Four Kings are defeated. Summoning Beatrice for an earlier boss is not required to receive this equipment.
  • Casting: Casts sorceries, not miracles or pyromancies. Attune the spell at a bonfire and meet that spell's own Intelligence requirement as well as the catalyst's requirements. The listed melee attack is separate from spell power.
  • Reinforcement: Cannot be reinforced or converted to another upgrade path. It also cannot receive pine resins or weapon-enchantment spells.
