Quest branches and services
These branches include alternatives. Check the requirements for each before acting.
Darkroot Basin

Result: Dusk can be summoned as a merchant at the lakeside.
Consequences and cutoffs: Stay away from the deep-water edge. Refusing her offer loses this merchant for the playthrough.
Darkroot Basin
Merchant
Requirements: Dusk has been rescued and accepted as a teacher.
What to do: Look for her summon sign near the lake where the Hydra stood.
Result: Her utility sorceries are available through the summon interaction.
Consequences and cutoffs: Rescuing her is also a prerequisite for the DLC entrance sequence.
Darkroot Basin; Royal Wood
Dlc Access
Requirements: Rescue Dusk, obtain the Broken Pendant in the Archives, and leave the basin entrance sequence available.
What to do: Return to the alcove where the golden golem held her and inspect the dark portal.
Result: Enter the additional-content areas.

Requirements: Defeat Manus.
What to do: Find Dusk in the arena and allow the area to reload before expecting her normal merchant interactions to resume.
Result: Her rescue concludes the DLC story branch.
