Reinforcement and comparison
In-game description
Weapon type: Catalyst
Attack type: Strike
Sorcery catalyst of lost land of Oolacile.
Formed by enchanted whitebark branches.
The whitebark boosts sorcery adjustment,
but the sorceries of this lost land are
gentle and not affected by intelligence.
Where to find
Merchant purchase
Darkroot Basin
Cost: 1000 Souls · Stock: ∞

- Rescue Dusk and accept her offer.
- Keep Dusk alive and friendly.
- Defeat the Hydra in Darkroot Basin, then follow the shallow lake edge toward the rear cave. Avoid the deep-water drop. Reload if the golden crystal golem has not appeared.
- Defeat the golden golem and answer yes when Dusk offers her help. Return to the lakeshore near the Knight Set corpse and use her summon sign to speak and shop.
- Speak to Dusk of Oolacile and buy Oolacile Ivory Catalyst from the weapon inventory.
Merchant purchase
Oolacile Sanctuary
Cost: 1000 Souls · Stock: ∞
Requirements
- Keep Elizabeth alive and friendly.
- After rescuing Dusk, obtain the Broken Pendant from the crystal golem near the beginning of the Duke's Archives. Return to the cave where the golden golem stood and examine the dark portal.
- Defeat the Sanctuary Guardian and follow the path to Oolacile Sanctuary. Speak to the large mushroom beside the bonfire to use Elizabeth's shop.
- Speak to Elizabeth and buy Oolacile Ivory Catalyst from the weapon inventory.
Notes
- Requirements and weight: Requires 3 Strength, 12 Intelligence and weighs 0.5.
- Fixed spell power: Provides fixed Magic Adjust of 180. Intelligence levels above the requirements do not raise it, so its displayed scaling letter should not be treated like the Sorcerer's Catalyst's scaling.
- Light casting tool: Weighs only 0.5 and needs 12 Intelligence. Sorceries with higher requirements still need their own Intelligence levels; fixed power does not bypass those requirements.
- Dusk's absence: Dusk becomes temporarily unavailable during the Oolacile story. Elizabeth provides another purchase route for the catalyst during that period.
- Casting: Casts sorceries, not miracles or pyromancies. Attune the spell at a bonfire and meet that spell's own Intelligence requirement as well as the catalyst's requirements. The listed melee attack is separate from spell power.
- Reinforcement: Cannot be reinforced or converted to another upgrade path. It also cannot receive pine resins or weapon-enchantment spells.
