Darkroot Garden

Requirements

Open the crest door, or reach this side of the forest by the ladder beside the Hydra's waterfall.

From Andre, enter Darkroot Garden and follow the main forest path to the sealed crest door. The nearby wall hides a bonfire.
Open the door with the Crest of Artorias purchased from Andre. Beyond the door, follow the right-hand forest edge to the cliff overlooking the basin and Hydra.
Collect the outfit from the corpse near the cliff. Watch for the tree enemies around the pickup and the human forest guardians on the approach.

Notes

Pieces: Eastern Helm, Eastern Armor, Eastern Gauntlets, Eastern Leggings.
Full outfit: Together these pieces weigh 22.5 and provide 36 poise. Each slot can be worn separately.
Reinforcement: Every piece uses Twinkling Titanite to reach +5.
Shiva: This outfit is a corpse pickup. Joining the Forest Hunters or killing Shiva is unnecessary.
Forest covenant: Joining the Forest Hunters can make the human forest guardians friendly. Attacking them after joining betrays that covenant.
