Where to find

Merchant purchase

Anor Londo

Cost: 8000 Souls · Stock: ∞

Requirements

  • Keep the Giant Blacksmith alive and friendly.
  1. Reach the cathedral interior beyond the Silver Knight archers. From its upper floor, use the stairs leading down toward the blacksmith on the side of the main hall.
  2. Find the seated giant working at his anvil. Open the nearby outside door as a shortcut, then speak to him. Ornstein and Smough do not need to be defeated first.
  3. Buy Twinkling Titanite from the Giant Blacksmith.

Encounter or quest reward

Crystal Lizards

  1. For an early pair, go up the stairs in the Undead Burg tower on the way to Taurus Demon. Break the barrels on the lower landing to uncover the Crystal Lizard.
  2. Kill it before it escapes and collect the two Twinkling Titanites. Further lizards occur in areas including the Great Hollow, Crystal Cave and the DLC woods.
  3. Lizards are limited encounters. Resting at a bonfire does not create another reward from a lizard already killed.

Repeatable enemy drop

Crystal Cave

Requirements

  • Defeat Seath for this convenient bonfire route.
  1. Defeat Seath in Crystal Cave and rest at the bonfire that becomes available in his arena.
  2. Return toward the cave entrance and kill the Man-Eater Shells outside the arena. Collect their drops and reset at the arena bonfire for another short run.

Repeatable enemy drop

Ash Lake

  1. Descend the Great Hollow to Ash Lake. Follow the beach toward the Everlasting Dragon, watching for Man-Eater Shells along the sand.
  2. Kill the shells for a chance at Twinkling Titanite and reset at a bonfire. Stay clear of their grab and the deep water.

Repeatable enemy drop

Royal Wood

  1. Defeat the Darkroot Basin Hydra, reload the area and follow the lake edge to its rear cave. Defeat the Golden Crystal Golem, free Dusk and speak to her. After placing the Lordvessel, kill the blue golem near the Archives entrance lift for the Broken Pendant. Return to Dusk's cave, enter the portal and defeat Sanctuary Guardian to reach Oolacile Sanctuary.
  2. Cross into Royal Wood and defeat the large stone guardians carrying axes. Collect any Twinkling Titanite they drop, then return to Oolacile Sanctuary to reset.
  3. These are the DLC Stone Guardians, not the reclining green Stone Knights in Darkroot Garden.

Crow exchange

Northern Undead Asylum

Requirements

  • Have Bloodred Moss Clump available to give away.
  1. Ride the Firelink-to-Parish lift and step onto the ledge above Firelink as it rises. Use the nearby roof and curved buttress to reach the large crow nest. Curl up and wait to return to the Asylum.
  2. At the Asylum arrival cliff, find the smaller nest on the side ledge. Listen for the unseen crow speaking; the large travel nest is not the trading spot.
  3. Leave one Bloodred Moss Clump inside the small nest. Quit and reload, then collect one Twinkling Titanite. Each different exchange works once per journey.
  • Leave only the requested single offering. Extra items do not produce extra rewards.

Crow exchange

Northern Undead Asylum

Requirements

  • Have Purple Moss Clump available to give away.
  3. Leave one Purple Moss Clump inside the small nest. Quit and reload, then collect one Twinkling Titanite. Each different exchange works once per journey.
  • Leave only the requested single offering. Extra items do not produce extra rewards.

Crow exchange

Northern Undead Asylum

Requirements

  • Have Blooming Purple Moss Clump available to give away.
  3. Leave one Blooming Purple Moss Clump inside the small nest. Quit and reload, then collect two Twinkling Titanites. Each different exchange works once per journey.
  • Leave only the requested single offering. Extra items do not produce extra rewards.

Notes

  • Unique equipment: Reinforces compatible unique weapons, shields and armor to +5. The five stages cost 1, 1, 2, 2 and 4 Twinkling Titanites, for ten total per item. Black Knight weapons and several special armor sets use this path.
  • Path restrictions: An item already using Twinkling Titanite cannot be changed into an ordinary Magic, Fire or other elemental version. Not every unique-looking item is reinforceable, and some special weapons use Demon Titanite or Dragon Scales instead.
  • Supply choices: The Giant Blacksmith sells unlimited stock. Crystal Lizards give limited guaranteed pairs, while Man-Eater Shells and DLC Stone Guardians offer repeatable drop chances.
  • Crow exchanges: Each of the three moss varieties has its own once-per-journey exchange. Bloodred and ordinary Purple Moss each give one Twinkling Titanite; Blooming Purple Moss gives two.
