Poison builds up in the body, and when it
breaks out, it causes gradual damage over
a period of time.
Poison can be exasperating, so be certain to
carry the needed quantity of these moss
clumps when destined for an afflicted area.

Requirements

  • Keep the female Undead Merchant alive and friendly.
  1. Use the Basement Key from Undead Parish to open the Lower Burg descent near the Hellkite bridge. Continue past the dogs and assassin ambushes toward the Capra Demon fog.
  2. Take the stairs beside that fog down toward the Depths entrance. Follow the adjoining tower stairs up to the aqueduct passage.
  3. Speak through the bars to the merchant, then open the nearby shortcut door back toward Firelink. Her stall can be revisited through that shortcut.
  4. Buy Purple Moss Clump from the female Undead Merchant's purchase menu.

Requirements

  • Access Artorias of the Abyss.
  • Keep Marvellous Chester alive and friendly.
  1. Free Dusk in Darkroot Basin and obtain the Broken Pendant from the first Crystal Golem in the Duke's Archives. Return to Dusk's cave, use the portal and defeat Sanctuary Guardian.
  2. Cross Royal Wood to the stone arena where Artorias waits. Before entering the boss fog, cross the nearby bridge and find Chester leaning against the wall. Speak to him and open his shop.
  3. Buy Purple Moss Clump from Marvellous Chester's purchase menu.
  • Killing the real Chester removes this shop. His separate invading phantom is a different encounter.

Repeatable enemy drop

Darkroot Garden

  1. From Andre below the Undead Parish bonfire, pass through the Titanite Demon room and enter Darkroot Garden.
  2. Defeat the living bush enemies along the garden paths and collect their drops. Rest at the Parish bonfire or the hidden bonfire beside the Crest door to repeat the route.

Notes

  • Poison: Removes ordinary Poison and clears its buildup. It does not cure Toxic; the flowering version is needed for that.
  • Continued exposure: Move out of the swamp or cloud and deal with the attacker before using a cure. Remaining in the source can immediately start filling the bar again.
  • Crow exchange: One clump can be exchanged at the Asylum trading nest for one Twinkling Titanite. Each offering type has its own once-per-journey trade.
