}In-game description
Titanite chunk for weapon reinforcement.
White titanite has powerful miracle energy.
Reinforces divine weapons to +9,
and occult weapons to +4.
With the discovery of chunks in Lordran,
the race to locate the Legendary Slabs
has begun. But could they be mere myth?
Where to find
Repeatable enemy drop
Tomb of the Giants
- From the first Tomb bonfire, climb toward Patches and descend into the pit where Rhea and her hollowed escorts are found. Defeat the Bone Towers there and collect any white chunks.
- After opening the Lordvessel barrier farther through the Tomb, the Pinwheel Servants before Nito provide another repeatable source. Return to a bonfire to reset these enemies.
- The Tomb is dark. Use a Skull Lantern, Cast Light or Sunlight Maggot, and avoid the unmarked drops.
Repeatable enemy drop
Kiln of the First Flame
Requirements
- Open the Kiln of the First Flame.
- Place the Lordvessel and fill it with the required lord souls to open the large door at Firelink Altar. Descend through the white passage into the ash-covered Kiln.
- Follow the route toward Gwyn and defeat the fourth Black Knight, identified by its greataxe. Collect its guaranteed chunk drop.
- Return to the Lordvessel to reset the knights. Stop before Gwyn if you want to keep farming; completing the ending starts the next journey.
Encounter or quest reward
Royal Wood / Chasm of the Abyss
- Defeat the Darkroot Basin Hydra, reload the area and follow the lake edge to its rear cave. Defeat the Golden Crystal Golem, free Dusk and speak to her. After placing the Lordvessel, kill the blue golem near the Archives entrance lift for the Broken Pendant. Return to Dusk's cave, enter the portal and defeat Sanctuary Guardian to reach Oolacile Sanctuary.
- Watch for fleeing Crystal Lizards while exploring Royal Wood. Another is close to the beginning of the Chasm, reached from the Township Dungeon bonfire after clearing the Township.
- Kill the lizards before they escape and collect their material rewards. These are limited encounters rather than a bonfire farming route.
Crow exchange
Northern Undead Asylum
Requirements
- Have Sunlight Medal available to give away.
- Ride the Firelink-to-Parish lift and step onto the ledge above Firelink as it rises. Use the nearby roof and curved buttress to reach the large crow nest. Curl up and wait to return to the Asylum.
- At the Asylum arrival cliff, find the smaller nest on the side ledge. Listen for the unseen crow speaking; the large travel nest is not the trading spot.
- Leave one Sunlight Medal inside the small nest. Quit and reload, then collect one White Titanite Chunk. Each different exchange works once per journey.
- Leave only the requested single offering. Extra items do not produce extra rewards.
Material breakdown
Firelink Shrine
Requirements
- Ring both Bells of Awakening and keep Frampt available.
- Return to the ruined pool beside Firelink Shrine after ringing both bells. Speak to the large serpent emerging from the drained opening.
- Carry one White Titanite Slab and choose its named Titanite feeding option to receive two White Titanite Chunks. The ordinary Feed Item menu pays souls instead.
- This consumes the higher-grade material. The exchange cannot be reversed.
- Placing the Lordvessel without Frampt or siding with Kaathe can remove access to this service.
Notes
- Divine reinforcement: Used for Divine +6 through +9. Andre needs the Large Divine Ember for the first modification. Including +5 to +6, these stages cost 1, 1, 2 and 3 white chunks, for seven total.
- Occult reinforcement: Andre uses the Dark Ember to convert a compatible Divine +5 weapon into Occult. Creation costs one white chunk and +1 through +4 use seven more, for eight total before the White Titanite Slab.
- Path distinction: Divine and Occult both add magic damage with Faith scaling. Divine can stop ordinary necromancer-controlled skeletons from reviving when it delivers the killing hit. Converting to Occult removes that Divine property.
- Breakdown: Frampt converts one white chunk into three Green Titanite Shards. White chunks reinforce weapons on these paths, not ordinary armor.
