Intended for select divine blacksmiths.
Ascends +5 divine weapon.
Allows reinforcement to +10,

Where to find
Treasure pickup
Tomb of the Giants
Requirements
- Defeat Pinwheel and bring a usable light source.
- Enter the Catacombs from Firelink's graveyard, descend through the bridges and defeat Pinwheel. Climb out beyond the boss room into the dark Tomb of the Giants.
- Follow the sloping coffins and marked lights down to the first bonfire near Patches. Climb back up its ladder and follow the nearby upper path toward the huge stone coffin.
- Enter the opening in that coffin to find a chamber of Giant Skeletons. Fight from the upper edge where possible, then reach the dead blacksmith at the back of the lower chamber.
- Collect the Large Divine Ember from the blacksmith, not the separate soul pickup. Climb back out or return with a Homeward Bone.
- Return to the Undead Parish bonfire opposite the church, then go downstairs to Andre's workshop. Speak to him while carrying the ember and agree to hand it over.
- This coffin is before the Lordvessel barrier. Resting deep in the Tomb without warping means a difficult climb back through the Tomb and Catacombs.
Notes
- Divine +10 access: Andre modifies a compatible Divine +5 weapon to +6 with this ember. The path can then reach Divine +10. It does not change the weapon into Occult.
- Materials: The initial modification costs one White Titanite Chunk. Reaching Divine +9 from +5 uses seven white chunks in total; Divine +10 takes one White Titanite Slab.
- Distinct ember: The ordinary Divine Ember creates the initial Divine path from a normal +5 base. This larger ember extends an existing Divine weapon. Both unlocks are relevant when starting from an ordinary unreinforced weapon.
- Hand-in and later journeys: Giving the ember unlocks the relevant modifications for that blacksmith for the rest of the journey. It is not spent once per weapon. Embers and their hand-ins reset in NG+, while already reinforced equipment keeps its upgrades. Collect the ember again if you want to make more weapons on that path.
- Using the unlock: Choose Modify Equipment for a path change or to cross its +5 or +10 limit. Ordinary reinforcement within an unlocked stage can be done at another blacksmith or with the Weapon Smithbox at a bonfire. Carrying an ember without giving it to the right smith does not unlock the modification.
