Where to find

Treasure pickup

Darkroot Garden: Moonlight Butterfly tower

Requirements

  • Defeat Moonlight Butterfly.
  1. Leave Andre's workshop through the Titanite Demon room into Darkroot Garden. Follow the main path toward the sealed Crest door, then take the open path beside it instead of opening the seal.
  2. Enter the woodland with the sleeping Stone Knights and follow the route to the ruined tower. Climb its stairs and defeat Moonlight Butterfly on the narrow bridge.
  3. After the fight, cross to the far tower and climb to the top. Search the dead blacksmith there for the Divine Ember and nearby key reward.
  4. Return to the Undead Parish bonfire opposite the church, then go downstairs to Andre's workshop. Speak to him while carrying the ember and agree to hand it over.

Notes

  • Initial Divine path: Andre can convert a compatible normal +5 weapon to Divine +0. Creating it costs one Green Titanite Shard; reinforcing through Divine +5 uses another nine green shards.
  • Faith and skeletons: Divine weapons add magic damage with Faith scaling and retain reduced physical scaling. A Divine killing blow stops ordinary skeletons controlled by necromancers from reviving. Merely carrying a Divine weapon while killing with another attack does not apply that property.
  • Later upgrades: Divine reinforcement beyond +5 needs the Large Divine Ember and White Titanite Chunks. The final Divine +10 step uses a White Titanite Slab. A Divine weapon cannot use ordinary resins or weapon-enchantment spells.
  • Hand-in and later journeys: Giving the ember unlocks the relevant modifications for that blacksmith for the rest of the journey. It is not spent once per weapon. Embers and their hand-ins reset in NG+, while already reinforced equipment keeps its upgrades. Collect the ember again if you want to make more weapons on that path.
  • Using the unlock: Choose Modify Equipment for a path change or to cross its +5 or +10 limit. Ordinary reinforcement within an unlocked stage can be done at another blacksmith or with the Weapon Smithbox at a bonfire. Carrying an ember without giving it to the right smith does not unlock the modification.
