Where to find

Merchant purchase

Undead Burg

Cost: 50 Souls · Stock: ∞

Requirements

  • Keep the male Undead Merchant alive and friendly.
  1. From the first Undead Burg bonfire, return toward the roof terrace with two spear Hollows. Break the crates beside the terrace to reveal stairs.
  2. Go downstairs, leave through the side doorway and find the seated merchant on the balcony. Speak to him without attacking.
  3. Buy Firebomb from the male Undead Merchant's purchase menu.

Merchant purchase

Royal Wood

Cost: 100 Souls · Stock: ∞

Requirements

  • Access Artorias of the Abyss.
  • Keep Marvellous Chester alive and friendly.
  1. Free Dusk in Darkroot Basin and obtain the Broken Pendant from the first Crystal Golem in the Duke's Archives. Return to Dusk's cave, use the portal and defeat Sanctuary Guardian.
  2. Cross Royal Wood to the stone arena where Artorias waits. Before entering the boss fog, cross the nearby bridge and find Chester leaning against the wall. Speak to him and open his shop.
  3. Buy Firebomb from Marvellous Chester's purchase menu.
  • Killing the real Chester removes this shop. His separate invading phantom is a different encounter.

Treasure pickup

Firelink Shrine

  1. From the central bonfire, climb into the stone ruins behind the well. Enter the right-hand archway and follow it to the end.
  2. Collect six Firebombs from the corpse. This pickup is available on first arriving at Firelink.

Notes

  • Fire attack: Thrown explosive with 180 base fire attack power before target defense. It does not gain ordinary Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence or Faith scaling.
  • Aiming: Follows a throwing arc. A railing, doorway or elevation change can make a locked-on throw miss or explode early.
  • Supply: A repeatable merchant purchase provides more after early pickups run out.
