Royal Wood, first forest section
- From Oolacile Sanctuary, cross the first bridge into the woods. Follow the right-hand boundary past the Scarecrows until you reach a small stone ruin.
- Climb the ruin's stairs and collect the Guardian Gauntlets. This ruin also connects to the lift shortcut opened from the Artorias end of the wood.
Notes
- Weight and poise: Equips on the hands, weighs 10.4 and provides 23 poise. Poise helps resist stagger; it does not reduce health damage.
- Physical protection: Provides 54 normal physical defense at base reinforcement. Its strongest physical protection at this level is against slash damage. Different attack types use different physical defenses.
- Protection: At base reinforcement, its elemental defense is 33 magic, 27 fire, 33 lightning. Magic and lightning is its strongest elemental defense at this level. Defense values are not percentages of incoming damage blocked.
- Status resistance: Adds 27 bleed, 10 poison and 0 curse resistance at base reinforcement. These help resist buildup; they do not cure an existing status.
- Reinforcement: Cannot be reinforced. Its listed protection is not a starting point for a later +5 or +10 version.
- Stamina recovery: Wearing this piece slows stamina recovery by 1 point per second. This penalty is separate from the movement changes caused by total equipment load.
- Separate pickups: The four pieces are scattered across the Royal Wood. One corpse does not hold the whole outfit, and the Stone Guardians do not drop it.
- Reinforcement: This outfit cannot be upgraded. It is separate from the Stone outfit found in present-day Darkroot Garden.
