}In-game description
Soul of the white winged lion sanctuary
watchkeeper, who dreaded the spread of
the Abyss.
The Guardian exhibited traits of several
animals other than lions, suggesting that it
was no ordinary beast, but rather
closer to the beings known as Demons.
Where to find
Gift or encounter reward
Sanctuary Garden
- Free Dusk from the golden golem behind Darkroot Basin's Hydra, then obtain the Broken Pendant from the first Crystal Golem in the Duke's Archives.
- Return to the cave behind the Hydra and use the dark portal to enter Oolacile.
- Follow the entry path to Sanctuary Guardian's arena and defeat the boss. The Guardian Soul is its victory reward.
- Cutting its tail gives Guardian Tail separately. Later guardians encountered in the garden do not provide an unlimited supply of this boss soul.
Notes
- Consume or keep: Using the item grants 12,000 souls and destroys it. This is separate from the souls credited immediately for defeating the boss.
- Reward choices: Has no boss-soul weapon or spell recipe in ordinary Remastered play. Guardian Tail comes from cutting the boss's tail, not forging this soul.
- Frampt value: Feeding it to Kingseeker Frampt gives 10,000 souls, which is less than consuming it. Feeding also destroys the item.
