What to do: Release him and speak to him later at Firelink.

Early Kill

Requirements: Lautrec is alive and Anastacia has not been murdered.

What to do: Defeat Lautrec now only if you deliberately want to prevent his later murder and invasion sequence.

Result: His ring becomes available and Anastacia's bonfire remains lit.

Consequences and cutoffs: This sacrifices the normal revenge route and the later Favor armor reward for this journey.

Firelink Shrine

Murder

Requirements: Lautrec is alive.

What to do: Check Anastacia's cell after both bells are rung, or after both the Parish and Blighttown Fire Keeper Souls have been collected.

Result: Her death leaves the Black Eye Orb and disables the bonfire.

Consequences and cutoffs: Killing Lautrec beforehand prevents this branch.

Anor Londo

Revenge

Requirements: You have the Black Eye Orb from Anastacia's cell.

What to do: Use it when it reacts in the large hall before Ornstein and Smough. Defeat Lautrec in his world and return Anastacia's own soul to her cell.

Result: Returning her soul restores her and the Firelink bonfire.

Consequences and cutoffs: Do not consume that soul or spend it on reinforcing Estus.

Firelink Shrine; Anor Londo

Specific Soul

Requirements: Lautrec has killed the Firelink keeper.

What to do: Collect the Black Eye Orb from her cell, use it when it reacts in the Anor Londo cathedral hall, and bring the recovered keeper soul back to her cell.

Consequences and cutoffs: Keep that particular soul unused if you want to restore the keeper. A different Fire Keeper Soul cannot replace it.

Anor Londo

Revenge Armor

Requirements: Win the Black Eye Orb invasion against Lautrec.

What to do: After clearing Ornstein and Smough, search the upper level outside Gwynevere's chamber for the Favor Set.

Result: The invasion victory unlocks the separate armor pickup.

Consequences and cutoffs: Returning Anastacia's soul restores her; it is not the pickup interaction for Lautrec's armor.
