Requirements

Keep Oswald alive and friendly.

Defeat the Bell Gargoyles on the church roof and ring the Bell of Awakening.
Climb back down into the tower and speak to Oswald, the black-clothed pardoner waiting below the bell. Open his purchase menu.
Speak to Oswald of Carim and buy Poisonbite Ring from the purchase menu.

Notes

Resistance: Multiplies the natural poison resistance component by four. Resistance supplied by armor is added separately, so the total shown on your status screen is not simply quadrupled.
Limitations: A larger buildup bar delays poison but does not grant immunity or cure an effect already inflicted.
Other equipment: Can be used alongside resistance from armor and held equipment. The poison bonus does not also increase Toxic resistance.
