}In-game description
Ring granted to those bound by the
Forest Hunter covenant.
Answer Alvina's summoning.
The white cat Alvina speaks a human tongue
and has lived since the early Age of Fire.
Alvina was a trusted friend of Knight
Artorias and the Great Wolf Sif.
Where to find
Boss, quest or covenant reward
Darkroot Garden
Requirements
- Leave Alvina and the Forest Hunters alive and friendly.
- From Andre beneath the Undead Parish bonfire, pass the Titanite Demon and follow Darkroot Garden to the magically sealed stone door. Open it with the Crest of Artorias bought from Andre, or reach the far side by the ladder from the Hydra lake in Darkroot Basin.
- Cross the forest guarded by human hunters and enter the small stone ruins. Speak to Alvina, the large cat in the window, and agree to join the Forest Hunter covenant.
- Alvina gives you the ring when you join.
Notes
- Covenant invasions: While you are a Forest Hunter, wearing the ring queues you to invade eligible players in the protected Darkroot forest. This is online PvP and requires a compatible host; it does not summon an offline NPC helper.
- Humanity and equipment: You can answer the covenant summons while hollow. After the invasion has been initiated, you can replace the ring with combat equipment.
- Covenant loyalty: Attacking protected forest members breaks your relationship with the covenant. Buy Shiva's equipment before taking a route that kills his bodyguard.
