Starting gesture
Northern Undead Asylum
Requirements
- Start as a Knight or Cleric.
- Open the gesture menu after taking control of your character.
- Select this gesture to perform it. If you have replaced its menu slot, open the gesture selection list and assign it to a slot again.
NPC teaching
Tomb of the Giants to Undead Parish
Requirements
- Keep Rhea of Thorolund alive and friendly.
- Let her expedition reach the Tomb, then rescue her.
- Rhea first arrives beside Petrus in Firelink after Capra Demon. Speaking to Petrus during the visit sends the group onward; encountering Pinwheel also advances their expedition.
- In the Tomb of the Giants, reach the pit below Patches and find Rhea with her two hollow bodyguards, Vince and Nico.
- Defeat both bodyguards without hitting Rhea. Speak to her until she gives Replenishment, then leave and reload the area.
- Return to the Undead Parish church. Remove the large armored knight at the altar if he is still alive, then reload if Rhea has not appeared.
- Speak to Rhea at the altar and choose Learn gesture before advancing her quest further.
- Killing Petrus before Rhea first arrives makes her party hostile.
- Petrus can murder her after two qualifying boss defeats following her rescue. Clearing out her spell stock can also advance her departure. Learn Prayer as soon as her service menu is available.
Notes
- Starting-class difference: Knights and Clerics already have Prayer. The other eight classes begin with Joy and can add Prayer through Rhea.
- Motion: Kneels on one knee with hands together. Performing it does not cast a miracle or restore HP.
- Free teaching: No miracle purchase, talisman, attunement slot or spellcasting stat requirement is needed. Use Rhea's Learn gesture option while she is still friendly.
