Where to find
Merchant purchase
Undead Burg
Cost: 3000 Souls · Stock: 1
Requirements
- Reach Firelink Shrine after leaving the Undead Asylum.
- Keep the male Undead Merchant alive and friendly.
- If you have not reached Undead Burg yet, leave Firelink Shrine by the stairs climbing toward the large stone bridge. Fight past the Hollows on the hillside and enter the water passage inside the bridge. Watch for the rat near the entrance, then follow the passage to the exit and stairs into Undead Burg.
- Follow the route through the buildings and up onto the rampart. Clear the Hollows and the crossbow soldier on the small tower, then enter the bonfire room beside that tower. Rest here before looking for the merchant.
- Leave the room and clear the nearby crossbow soldier and the Hollows on the lower platform. If you rested, these enemies will have returned.
- Look for the short walkway to a separate rooftop guarded by two soldiers with spears and shields. Cross to that roof and deal with both soldiers.
- Break the wooden crates around the stair opening on the rooftop, then go downstairs. Check the room for the Hollow hiding behind the furniture before stopping to shop.
- Go through the doorway onto the outside ledge. Speak to the seated merchant and buy Repairbox from his inventory.
- Keep attacks away from the merchant. Killing him permanently removes this shop for the current playthrough.
Merchant purchase
Undead Parish
Cost: 2000 Souls · Stock: 1
Requirements
- Reach the church in Undead Parish.
- Keep Andre of Astora alive and friendly.
- From the Parish church, find the stone bridge leading to a separate old stone building toward the forest. Cross the bridge and enter that building.
- Go downstairs to the bonfire on the middle floor. Rest here if you want a nearby return point.
- Continue down another floor toward the sound of hammering. Speak to Andre at his anvil and buy Repairbox. You do not need to pass the Titanite Demon below him to shop.
- Attacking or killing Andre can remove important blacksmith services. Keep weapon swings away from him.

Undead Parish
Cost: 2000 Souls · Stock: 1
Requirements
- Reach the Undead Parish church.
- Keep Andre alive and friendly.
- Find the side of the parish church facing the forest. Clear the two sword soldiers and crossbow soldier guarding the long stone bridge, then cross to the smaller ruined building.
- Go downstairs to the bonfire and rest. Take the next stairs down toward the hammering sound to find Andre at his anvil. You do not need to fight the Titanite Demon in the room beyond him.
- Speak to Andre, open Purchase Item and buy Repairbox.
- Keep attacks away from Andre. Killing him removes both his shop and his specialized forging services for this playthrough.
Notes
- What it unlocks: Adds equipment repair at bonfires. Rest at a bonfire and choose the repair option to restore eligible damaged weapons and armor in exchange for souls.
- Not an upgrade tool: Repairing restores durability. It does not increase a weapon's reinforcement level, change its upgrade path or restore an Estus Flask charge. Weapon Smithbox and Armor Smithbox unlock different services.
- Cheaper option: Andre sells Repairbox for 2,000 Souls, compared with the Burg merchant's 3,000 Souls. If you can reach Andre safely, buying there saves 1,000 Souls.
- Repeated use: You do not consume the box each time you repair an item, and you do not need to carry Repair Powder to use its bonfire repair service. The repair itself still costs souls.
- Repair restrictions: It does not remove the repair restriction on Crystal equipment. Check that an item can be repaired before relying on the box to keep it usable.
- Crystal equipment exception: The box does not bypass equipment repair restrictions. Weapons and shields on the Crystal upgrade path cannot be repaired with it. The distinct Crystal equipment sold by Domhnall is also unrepairable.
- Buying later: Andre sells the same tool for less than the Burg merchant. You do not need a second Repairbox to use another bonfire; it unlocks the repair option wherever you can rest.
