}In-game description
This magic crown-shaped ring was granted
to Princess Dusk of Oolacile upon her birth.
The ringstone allows its wearer to cast
additional magics, but at the cost of
one-half of HP.
Where to find
Boss, quest or covenant reward
Darkroot Basin
- From Andre, pass the Titanite Demon and enter Darkroot Garden. Take the descending side path into Darkroot Basin and follow the slope down to the Crystal Golems and lake.
- Deal with the golems and approach the Hydra along the shallow shore. Stay back from the dark underwater drop, which is a lethal pit.
- Defeat the Hydra to receive the ring. This is the Basin Hydra, not the one in Ash Lake.
Notes
- Extra casts: Increases available spell uses by 50% for sorceries, miracles and pyromancies, with whole-number rounding. Your maximum HP is halved while it is equipped.
- Separate from the crown: This ring changes spell capacity, not spell damage. Crown of Dusk is a separate headpiece with a different effect.
- Casting-tool penalty: Tin Crystallization Catalyst and Manus Catalyst have their own spell-use penalty. Do not treat this ring as a guaranteed restoration of every spell's normal count; capacity and rounding depend on the equipped combination.
- Low-health effects: The reduced maximum HP also lowers the absolute HP threshold for Red Tearstone Ring. Extra charges come with substantially less room to survive a hit.
