How to join
Carry an Eye of Death and enter the open coffin beside the Titanite Demon in the Catacombs. Wait for the transport, then approach Nito and offer service.
Location: Tomb of the Giants
In the Catacombs corridor beside the Titanite Demon, enter the open coffin and wait for transport. Approach Nito to join and make offerings. This coffin visit is separate from entering his boss arena normally.

Join before defeating Nito. Killing him ends access to his covenant services for this playthrough.
Gravelord Greatsword Dance
- Keep Nito alive and carry an Eye of Death.
- Have ten Eyes of Death available for rank offerings.
- Bring at least one Eye of Death and reach the Catacombs passage guarded by a Titanite Demon. Three Eyes of Death lie beyond that demon if you need a first supply.
- Inspect the open coffin along the same passage and choose to nestle inside. Wait for the transport to Nito's chamber.
- Speak to Nito's coffin and join the Gravelord Servant covenant to receive Gravelord Sword Dance. Use the transport coffin to return.
- Offer a total of ten Eyes of Death to Nito to reach rank +1 and receive Gravelord Greatsword Dance.
- Killing Nito prevents further covenant joining and rank rewards for this journey.
Gravelord Sword Dance
- Keep Nito alive and carry an Eye of Death.
- Bring at least one Eye of Death and reach the Catacombs passage guarded by a Titanite Demon. Three Eyes of Death lie beyond that demon if you need a first supply.
- Inspect the open coffin along the same passage and choose to nestle inside. Wait for the transport to Nito's chamber.
- Speak to Nito's coffin and join the Gravelord Servant covenant to receive Gravelord Sword Dance. Use the transport coffin to return.
- Killing Nito prevents further covenant joining and rank rewards for this journey.
Eye of Death
- Descend from Firelink's graveyard into the Catacombs. Use the bridge switches to reach the lower stone corridors and find the long passage occupied by a Titanite Demon.
- Pass the demon carefully and collect three Eyes of Death from the corpse behind it. The partly open coffin in the same passage is the route to Nito's covenant chamber.
- Carry at least one Eye of Death, nestle in that coffin and wait for transport. Speak at Nito's sarcophagus to join Gravelord Servant.
- Nito must be alive to join or offer Eyes of Death. The coffin visit is separate from his boss encounter.
Gravelord Sword
- Keep Gravelord Nito alive.
- Carry at least one Eye of Death.
- Progress through the Catacombs to the long coffin-lined passage with a Titanite Demon. If you need an Eye of Death, three are on the corpse behind the demon; collecting them does not require killing it.
- Find the projecting open coffin in that passage. Choose to nestle inside and remain there until the transport begins. Enemies can still hurt you while you wait.
- At Nito's sarcophagus, interact and join the Gravelord Servant covenant to receive the sword. Use the coffin to return. This is separate from entering his later boss fight.
Leaving and betrayal
Join before defeating Nito. Killing him ends access to his covenant services for this playthrough.
Defeating him later does not itself expel you from the covenant, but removes his offering and reward services until the next journey.
Leaving a covenant can reduce its recorded offerings and rank. A covenant item remaining in your inventory does not prove that its membership-dependent effect is still available. Absolution cannot revive a dead covenant leader.
