Uses short hammer swings and overhead strong attacks. The fire portion is part of the weapon's damage, not permission to apply a second temporary enchantment.
Reinforcement and comparison
In-game description
Weapon type: Hammer
Attack type: Strike
Metal hammer of Vamos, a skeleton blacksmith
deep within the Catacombs who rarely speaks.
Can be used as a strike weapon, but better
left in the hands of its talented owner.
Where to find
NPC drop
The Catacombs
Requirements
- At the bottom of the broken spiral staircase near a Catacombs necromancer and switch, look down for the corpse on a lower ledge. Drop to that ledge, then to the broken wooden plank and through the hole to trigger Vamos's introduction.
- Once the workshop opens onto the bonewheel cavern, killing Vamos drops his hammer and Royal Helm. Complete any Fire or Chaos modifications you need before attacking.
- Use the ledges rather than dropping the entire shaft at once. Killing Vamos removes his unique modification services for this journey.
Notes
- Requirements and weight: Requires 14 Strength and weighs 5.
- Split damage: Deals physical and fire damage. Strength scales the physical component; Intelligence and Faith do not add scaling to the fixed fire portion.
- Moveset: Uses short hammer swings and overhead strong attacks. The fire portion is part of the weapon's damage, not permission to apply a second temporary enchantment.
- Reinforcement and buffs: Reinforce to +5 with Twinkling Titanite. There are no normal or elemental conversion branches. Cannot use resins or weapon-enchantment spells.
