In-game description

One of the special rings granted to the four
knights of Gwyn. The Hawk Ring belonged to
Hawkeye Gough, who led the Greatarchers.

Boosts bow range, so that arrows fly like
they were shot by Gough's great bow,
which took down high-flying dragons.

Where to find

Treasure pickup

Anor Londo, Giant Blacksmith room

Reach the cathedral interior beyond the Silver Knight archers. From the great hall outside Ornstein and Smough, take the upper side route down toward the Giant Blacksmith.
Walk around the giant beside the wall to reach the chest hidden behind his body. There is enough room to reach it without attacking him.
Open the chest and take the ring.

Notes

Ranged falloff: Extends useful projectile range for bows, greatbows and crossbows by changing their distance-falloff behavior. Shots at longer ranges can retain more damage.
What it does not do: Does not add a fixed damage bonus to every arrow or bolt at close range and does not extend the range of ordinary sorcery projectiles.
Aiming: Also increases binocular zoom. The Giant Blacksmith can remain alive and friendly throughout the pickup.
