}In-game description
Slip sold by bishop of Velka, Goddess of Sin.

report the crime of that trespasser.
The indicted player will be added to a list
of unfortunate souls who will one day face
the wrath of the Blades of the Darkmoon.
Where to find
Merchant purchase
Undead Parish bell tower
Cost: 200 Souls · Stock: ∞
Requirements
- Keep Oswald alive and friendly.
- Defeat the Bell Gargoyles on the church roof and ring the Bell of Awakening.
- Climb back down into the tower and speak to Oswald, the black-clothed pardoner waiting below the bell. Open his purchase menu.
- Buy Indictment from Oswald of Carim.
Notes
- Report prompt: While you carry an Indictment, an eligible invasion death offers a prompt to indict the hostile player. Choose whether to report them during that prompt; this is not a letter to equip and throw during combat.
- Practical reuse: One Indictment is enough for repeated reporting in the updated game. Filing a report does not consume it, even though the shop sells unlimited copies.
- What reporting does: Adds PvP sin to the invader's record for the Darkmoon system. It does not refund lost souls, revive the host or immediately summon a defender.
- Eligible opponents: Dark Spirits and Dragon Spirits can be indicted. An NPC quest fight or a Spirit of Vengeance is not automatically an eligible report.
- Merchant preservation: Buy it while Oswald is alive at the Parish bell tower. Do not rely on a death-drop claim as an alternative way to acquire it.
