The Abyss: Kaathe
Requirements
- Keep Kaathe's joining route available.
- Obtain Covenant of Artorias from Sif. Get Key to the Seal from Ingward, drain New Londo and reach Four Kings through the lower ruins.
- Defeat Four Kings with Covenant of Artorias equipped before placing the Lordvessel. Speak to Kaathe in the cleared Abyss and follow his dialogue and Lordvessel sequence to join Darkwraith.
- Offer ten held Humanity to Kaathe to reach rank +1 and receive Red Eye Orb. Humanity items must first be used to add Humanity to the counter.
- Placing the Lordvessel through Frampt or by yourself before meeting Kaathe closes this route for the journey.
Notes
- Reusable invasion: Invades another eligible player's world without spending a Cracked Red Eye Orb. Red Eye Orb itself is reusable.
- Membership and form: You must currently belong to Darkwraith and be human to use it. Keeping the item after leaving the covenant does not keep its invasion function active.
- Rank cost: The reward threshold is ten Humanity offered in total, not ten Humanity carried at once. Offering Humanity consumes it.
- Different orbs: Cracked Red Eye Orb is a consumable invasion option without the Darkwraith membership requirement. Black Eye Orb is Lautrec's separate NPC quest item.
- Matchmaking: Remastered invasions use level and weapon-upgrade restrictions. A cooperative password does not make an invasion orb target a chosen friend.
