once a symbol of pride and glory.

Requirements

  • Keep Domhnall of Zena alive and friendly.
  • Defeat Knight Artorias in the Royal Wood.
  1. His first shop is in the Depths, beside the large door leading to Blighttown and near the approach to the Gaping Dragon arena.
  2. After both Bells of Awakening have been rung, return to Firelink Shrine. Walk up the aqueduct route toward Undead Burg and look beneath it for his seated figure. Carefully jump from the approach onto his ledge.
  3. Open the purchase menu and buy Armor of Artorias.

Notes

  • Weight and poise: Equips on the chest, weighs 10.5 and provides 15 poise. Poise helps resist stagger; it does not reduce health damage.
  • Physical protection: Provides 42 normal physical defense at base reinforcement. Its strongest physical protection at this level is against slash damage. Different attack types use different physical defenses.
  • Protection: At base reinforcement, its elemental defense is 22 magic, 46 fire, 22 lightning. Fire is its strongest elemental defense at this level. Defense values are not percentages of incoming damage blocked.
  • Status resistance: Adds 22 bleed, 22 poison and 20 curse resistance at base reinforcement. These help resist buildup; they do not cure an existing status.
  • Reinforcement: Reinforce to +5 with Twinkling Titanite. Reinforcement improves defenses and resistances without changing weight, poise or maximum durability. Armor does not use weapon embers or elemental conversion paths.
  • Where it is sold: Return to Domhnall in present-day Lordran after the DLC boss fight. Artorias does not drop the wearable outfit in his arena.
  • No matching-gear requirement: The armor does not require Artorias' sword or shield. Each piece can be combined with other equipment.
