}In-game description
One of the special rings granted to the four
knights of Gwyn. The Hornet Ring belonged
to the Lord's Blade Ciaran.
By boosting critical attacks, its wearer can
annihilate foes, as Ciaran's dagger laid
waste to Lord Gwyn's enemies.
Where to find
Treasure pickup
Darkroot Garden, Sif arena
- From Andre beneath the Undead Parish bonfire, pass the Titanite Demon and follow Darkroot Garden to the magically sealed stone door. Open it with the Crest of Artorias bought from Andre, or reach the far side by the ladder from the Hydra lake in Darkroot Basin.
- Continue past Alvina's ruins, cross the bridge toward the giant stone gate and enter the clearing with Artorias's grave.
- Walk around the outside of the central grave instead of approaching the greatsword in front. Collect the ring from the corpse behind the gravestone.
- You can take it before starting the Sif fight, or return to collect it after defeating Sif.
Notes
- Critical attacks: Provides a 30% critical-damage bonus for backstabs and ripostes. It does not raise the power of every normal attack, jump attack or plunging attack.
- Animation changes: Against targets using the player character model, it can select different critical animations and contact sequences. Enemy type and weapon profile therefore matter when calculating a complete critical hit.
- Counter attacks: A thrust counter during an enemy's attack is a different mechanic. Leo Ring strengthens those counters; Hornet Ring strengthens critical animations.
