}Weapon behavior
Adds bleed buildup against susceptible targets. Its strong attacks use repeated stabbing motions rather than the usual curved-sword strong slashes. The forward-plus-light action retreats instead of performing a normal kick.
Reinforcement and comparison
Requires 7 Strength and weighs 1.5, with no Dexterity requirement. It has weak Strength scaling and no Dexterity, Intelligence or Faith scaling. Raising Dexterity does not increase its physical attack rating.

Weapon type: Curved Sword
Attack type: Slash/Thrust
Jagged blade wielded by New Londo ghosts.
Violent thrust attack.
One of the cursed weapons.
Inflicts damage to ghosts.
Where to find
Enemy drop
New Londo Ruins
Requirements
- Bring a way to damage ghosts before you obtain the weapon.
- At Firelink Shrine, take the stairs down past the Fire Keeper and ride the lift to New Londo Ruins. Follow the stairs to the waterfront and the wooden bridges. Break the pot containing a corpse before the first bridge for two Transient Curses.
- Cross the bridges and use a Transient Curse before attacking. Kill the ordinary scythe-armed ghosts on the first platform and collect any dropped items.
- For a simple loop, return across the bridges and up the lift to Firelink. Rest and repeat. You can add the ghosts up the first stone stairs if you are comfortable fighting the larger group.
- The sword is a random drop. You can obtain it before draining the ruins or reaching the Four Kings.
- Pull ghosts onto solid ground before killing them when possible. Fighting over deep water risks losing both the drop and your footing.
Notes
- Requirements and scaling: Requires 7 Strength and weighs 1.5, with no Dexterity requirement. It has weak Strength scaling and no Dexterity, Intelligence or Faith scaling. Raising Dexterity does not increase its physical attack rating.
- Cursed curved sword: Despite its name, this is a curved sword rather than a dagger. It can hit ghosts while you are uncursed. Two-handing it also lets you block with the cursed weapon, although that is weaker protection than using a proper shield while a Transient Curse is active.
- Bleed and strong attacks: Adds bleed buildup against susceptible targets. Its strong attacks use repeated stabbing motions rather than the usual curved-sword strong slashes. The forward-plus-light action retreats instead of performing a normal kick.
- Upgrading: Uses Twinkling Titanite up to +5. It cannot be changed to elemental upgrade paths and cannot receive resins or weapon-enchantment spells.
- Farming the right enemy: Ordinary ghosts drop this sword. The screaming female ghosts drop Ghost Blade instead. You can farm the first ordinary ghosts near the entrance without going through the larger buildings.
