Treasure pickup
Undead Parish: passage beneath the armored boar
- Approach the Parish through the courtyard containing the armored boar. Take the stairs down into the room of Hollows beneath the courtyard.
- Clear the Hollows and break the barrels near the ladder. Search the body hidden there for the Mystery Key.
- Continue to the Parish church. Climb to its upper floor, clear the Hollows and inspect the side passage behind the breakable wooden obstruction for Lautrec's locked cell.
- Unlock the cell and speak to Lautrec to release him.
Notes
- Lautrec's cell: This key opens Lautrec's prison above the Undead Parish church. Master Key also opens it.
- Rescue reward: After being freed, Lautrec can be found below Firelink near Anastacia's cell. Speak to him there for his rescue reward.
- Later consequences: Freeing Lautrec does not make Anastacia safe. His later murder event depends on progression while he remains alive. Killing him beforehand prevents the Black Eye Orb revenge sequence for that journey.
- Later journeys: This key is removed when a new journey begins. Collect it again if you need to reopen its lock; unlocking the door in the previous journey does not keep it open.
