Waistcloth of the Channelers, sorcerers that
serve Seath the Scaleless. Even after the
onset of Seath's madness, the "snatchers,"
as they were often called, ventured to far
lands to find suitable human specimens.

The heaviest of protective gear for
sorcerers, and imbued with magic.

Requirements

  • Place the Lordvessel and reach the main Archives library.
  1. Escape the prison tower and work through the library's rotating staircases. Reach the ladder down into the side book rooms near the balcony bonfire.
  2. Enter the larger room containing several treasure chests, the lever for the outdoor stairs and the shelves concealing the Crystal Ember.
  3. Open the ordinary chest near the room's entrance for all four Channeler pieces. Keep it separate from the Mimic containing an Enchanted Falchion.

Notes

  • Weight and poise: Equips on the legs, weighs 6 and provides 7 poise. Poise helps resist stagger; it does not reduce health damage.
  • Physical protection: Provides 32 normal physical defense at base reinforcement. Its strongest physical protection at this level is against slash damage. Different attack types use different physical defenses.
  • Protection: At base reinforcement, its elemental defense is 27 magic, 27 fire, 20 lightning. Magic and fire is its strongest elemental defense at this level. Defense values are not percentages of incoming damage blocked.
  • Status resistance: Adds 23 bleed, 20 poison and 0 curse resistance at base reinforcement. These help resist buildup; they do not cure an existing status.
  • Reinforcement: Cannot be reinforced. Its listed protection is not a starting point for a later +5 or +10 version.
  • Different drop pool: The Channelers' Trident is a random enemy drop. Their wearable outfit is fixed chest treasure and cannot be obtained by farming the Parish Channeler.
  • No dance bonus: Wearing the armor does not grant the trident's dance or its ally attack bonus.
