studied at Dragon School, but Beatrice is
one of the few exceptions. She braved the
Abyss but did not live to tell of her ordeal.

Valley of Drakes

Requirements

  • Defeat the Four Kings.
  1. Defeat the Four Kings in the Abyss, then return to the Valley of Drakes entrance below Firelink Shrine.
  2. From New Londo's first elevator area, climb the small tower leading to the Valley. Inspect the cliff ledge opposite the Blighttown entrance.
  3. Collect the corpse holding the Witch outfit and Beatrice's Catalyst.

Notes

  • Weight and poise: Equips on the hands, weighs 1.7 and provides 0 poise. This piece does not help you withstand hits without staggering.
  • Physical protection: Provides 14 normal physical defense at base reinforcement. Its strongest physical protection at this level is against strike damage. Different attack types use different physical defenses.
  • Protection: At base reinforcement, its elemental defense is 18 magic, 9 fire, 11 lightning. Magic is its strongest elemental defense at this level. Defense values are not percentages of incoming damage blocked.
  • Status resistance: Adds 16 bleed, 16 poison and 6 curse resistance at base reinforcement. These help resist buildup; they do not cure an existing status.
  • Reinforcement: Reinforce to +5 with Twinkling Titanite. Reinforcement improves defenses and resistances without changing weight, poise or maximum durability. Armor does not use weapon embers or elemental conversion paths.
  • Summoning is optional: You do not need to summon Beatrice for the Moonlight Butterfly or Four Kings to make this pickup available.
  • Separate spell tool: The catalyst is an independent item. Wearing Beatrice's clothes does not increase its spell power.
