Blade of the Darkmoon
How to join
Reveal the Darkmoon Tomb passage with the Darkmoon Seance Ring or by removing the Anor Londo illusion. Speak at the fog gate without entering the boss arena.
Location: Darkmoon Tomb
Equip the Darkmoon Seance Ring at the tomb statue to reveal the passage. Approach the candles and kneel at the fog to request the covenant. Removing Gwynevere's illusion is a separate way to remove the statue.

Blue Eye Orb
- Collect Darkmoon Seance Ring in the Catacombs. In Anor Londo, rotate the central staircase to its lowest position and descend to the Darkmoon Tomb bonfire.
- Equip the ring near the large statue to reveal the passage. Walk to the candles before the fog gate and kneel when prompted.
- Agree to serve Gwyndolin to join Blade of the Darkmoon and receive Blue Eye Orb and Darkmoon Blade Covenant Ring.
- Do not cross the fog gate or attack Gwyndolin. That starts his boss fight and prevents this friendly joining route.
Darkmoon Blade Covenant Ring
- Keep Gwyndolin and the covenant friendly.
- In Anor Londo, reach the large rotating staircase connecting the cathedral approaches. Use its central lever until the platform is at its lowest position.
- Descend the stairs all the way to the Darkmoon Tomb bonfire.
- Wear the Darkmoon Seance Ring beside the Gwyn statue to reveal the passage. Approach the candles before the fog and kneel when prompted.
- Join the Blade of the Darkmoon covenant to receive this ring and the Blue Eye Orb. Do not walk through the fog if you want to keep Gwyndolin friendly.
Darkmoon Talisman
- Keep Gwyndolin alive and friendly.
- Have the Darkmoon Seance Ring and 10 Souvenirs of Reprisal.
- Lower Anor Londo's rotating staircase to the bottom and enter the Darkmoon Tomb. Wear the Darkmoon Seance Ring to reveal the passage behind the statue.
- Approach the fog and answer Gwyndolin without entering it. Join the Blade of the Darkmoon, then offer 10 Souvenirs of Reprisal to reach rank +1 and receive the talisman.
- Souvenirs come from successful covenant invasions or from crow demons in the Painted World, allowing an offline farming route.
- Passing through the fog challenges Gwyndolin instead of joining. Do not attack him if you still want this covenant reward.
Leaving and betrayal
Crossing the fog gate makes Gwyndolin hostile and breaks the covenant.
Crossing the fog starts the fight. Defeating Gwyndolin removes this covenant's local services for the journey; finish desired rewards before choosing that fight.
Leaving a covenant can reduce its recorded offerings and rank. A covenant item remaining in your inventory does not prove that its membership-dependent effect is still available. Absolution cannot revive a dead covenant leader.
