In-game description

Blood-drained, shrunken ear.
Souvenir taken for subduing the guilty.

The knights called the Blades of the Darkmoon
punish the guilt-soaked offenders of the Gods
and take this as proof of their conquest.
The earless corpses of the guilty will be
left behind as a warning to others, inspiring
both fear and respect for the Gods. Such is
the eternal mandate of the Dark Sun.

Repeatable enemy drop

Painted World of Ariamis: Crow Demons

  1. Return to the Northern Undead Asylum with Firelink's crow and collect the Peculiar Doll from your original cell.
  2. Carry it to the large painting on the ground floor of Anor Londo's painting hall. Clear the Painting Guardians, examine the painting and reach the Painted World bonfire.
  3. Climb the buildings and spiral tower near the Undead Dragon bridge, or unlock the Annex and reach its upper walkways. These routes lead to groups of Crow Demons.
  4. Defeat the Crow Demons and collect their drops. Return to the bonfire and repeat for additional Souvenirs. They can be farmed offline and do not require Darkmoon membership to drop.

Northern Undead Asylum: Snuggly

  1. Obtain an ordinary Pendant, such as the starting gift. Return to the Asylum using Firelink's crow.
  2. Find the small trading nest on the cliff near the Asylum exit, rather than the large transport nest. Drop one Pendant into the small nest, leave and reload the area, then collect one Souvenir of Reprisal.
  • Drop the item rather than discarding it. This Pendant trade can be completed once per journey. Broken Pendant and Silver Pendant are different items.

NPC invasion reward

Anor Londo: Lautrec

  1. Let Lautrec's quest reach Anastacia's murder, then collect Black Eye Orb from her cell at Firelink.
  2. Use it when it responds in the cathedral hall outside Ornstein and Smough. Defeat Lautrec in his world to collect the quest invasion rewards, including a Souvenir.
  • Killing Lautrec before Anastacia's murder prevents this invasion. Keep her recovered Fire Keeper Soul if you intend to revive her.

Darkmoon invasion reward

Eligible online world

  1. Join Blade of the Darkmoon at the Darkmoon Tomb without crossing Gwyndolin's fog gate.
  2. Use Blue Eye Orb to hunt an eligible sinner and win the invasion to receive a Souvenir. Repeat successful hunts for more.

Notes

  • Offering location: Offer Souvenirs to Gwyndolin while serving Blade of the Darkmoon. Using or carrying them elsewhere does not automatically raise rank.
  • Cumulative ranks: Ten offerings reach +1 and award Darkmoon Blade and Darkmoon Talisman. Thirty and eighty reach +2 and +3, strengthening the covenant enchantment.
  • Offline option: Crow Demon farming and the ordinary Pendant trade do not depend on finding another player. Item Discovery can improve eligible enemy-drop rolls; it does not multiply a fixed quest reward.
  • Leader cutoff: Defeating Gwyndolin removes his offering service for this journey. Finish the rewards you want before entering his boss arena.
  • Consumed by offering: Each Souvenir handed in is spent. An ear kept in inventory has no passive attack or defense benefit.
