Requirements

  • Choose Bandit at character creation.
  1. This piece belongs to that class's starting outfit. An existing character cannot change class to receive another starting loadout.

Valley of Drakes

  1. Descend the cliff trail in Darkroot Basin past the Black Knight to the cave bonfire. Continue through the cave and ride the lift down into the Valley of Drakes.
  2. Leave the lift chamber and locate the stone bridge guarded by blue drakes. The corpse on the bridge holds the Brigand outfit and Spider Shield.
  3. Deal with the drakes or draw them away before collecting the items. Their lightning breath can hit you while you are on the narrow bridge.

Notes

  • Weight and poise: Equips on the legs, weighs 1.8 and provides 0 poise. This piece does not help you withstand hits without staggering.
  • Physical protection: Provides 14 normal physical defense at base reinforcement. Its strongest physical protection at this level is against strike damage. Different attack types use different physical defenses.
  • Protection: At base reinforcement, its elemental defense is 12 magic, 8 fire, 10 lightning. Magic is its strongest elemental defense at this level. Defense values are not percentages of incoming damage blocked.
  • Status resistance: Adds 12 bleed, 12 poison and 0 curse resistance at base reinforcement. These help resist buildup; they do not cure an existing status.
  • Reinforcement: Reinforce to +10 using Titanite Shards, Large Titanite Shards, Titanite Chunks and a Titanite Slab. Reinforcement improves defenses and resistances without changing weight, poise or maximum durability. Armor does not use weapon embers or elemental conversion paths.
  • Naming: The Bandit class wears the Brigand outfit. Its differently named pieces are part of the same four-piece set.
