}In-game description
Online play item.
Find a player who has acquired a Dragon Scale
and invade that player's world to pillage it.
(Only Covenanter can use the item)
An art of the transcendent apostles who pray
to the ancient dragons. To be alive is to be
vulnerable, and the fiery Gods are no
exception. The apostles seek another plane
of existence, which transcends life.
Where to find
Covenant joining reward
Ash Lake: Stone Dragon
- From the Blighttown swamp bonfire, head toward the opposite end of the swamp, away from Quelaag's mound, and climb the large root leading into the hollow tree.
- Open the chest in the tree, then strike the wall behind it. Strike the second concealed wall beyond the next chest to reveal the Great Hollow.
- Descend the Great Hollow using the branches and ladders. Keep away from the Basilisks' curse clouds and continue through the mushroom-filled bottom to Ash Lake.
- Follow the narrow beach to its far end, passing the Hydra and the hollow trees. Approach the enormous Stone Dragon and pray at it to join Path of the Dragon.
- Without the Lordvessel, resting at the bottom means climbing back through the Great Hollow to leave. The deep water beside the beach is a fatal drop.
Notes
- Consensual dragon duel: Places a Dragon sign that another player can choose to use. The winner receives a Dragon Scale; the loser does not have a scale taken from their inventory.
- Form and membership: You must belong to Path of the Dragon to place the sign. You may place it while hollow, but a host needs human form to summon a Dragon Spirit.
- Scale not required to accept: The item description talks about a player who has a Dragon Scale. The opponent does not need to own one for the duel reward to work.
- One opponent: Dragon signs are intended for a one-on-one encounter. Other summoned or invading phantoms can prevent a host from seeing or using a Dragon sign.
- Reusable: Dragon Eye is not consumed. Collecting duel rewards and offering scales at the Stone Dragon are separate actions; scales spent upgrading a weapon do not increase covenant rank.
