Severed head of the fully-armored Fang Boar
taken by the one who killed it as proof of
his victory, just as the Gods once did with
the head of the ancient dragon.

Can be worn on the head as a surprisingly
sound piece of protective gear.

Enemy drop

Undead Parish / The Duke's Archives entrance

  1. After crossing the Hellkite bridge, continue toward the Parish church to find the armored boar in the courtyard. Defeat it and collect any helm drop.
  2. Two more armored boars guard the passage from Anor Londo toward the Duke's Archives after the golden barrier is removed. Fight them from the corridor carefully and collect their drops.

Notes

  • Weight and poise: Equips on the head, weighs 8 and provides 12 poise. Poise helps resist stagger; it does not reduce health damage.
  • Physical protection: Provides 26 normal physical defense at base reinforcement. Its strongest physical protection at this level is against slash damage. Different attack types use different physical defenses.
  • Protection: At base reinforcement, its elemental defense is 5 magic, 4 fire, 4 lightning. Magic is its strongest elemental defense at this level. Defense values are not percentages of incoming damage blocked.
  • Status resistance: Adds 13 bleed, 8 poison and 0 curse resistance at base reinforcement. These help resist buildup; they do not cure an existing status.
  • Reinforcement: Reinforce to +5 with Twinkling Titanite. Reinforcement improves defenses and resistances without changing weight, poise or maximum durability. Armor does not use weapon embers or elemental conversion paths.
  • Stamina recovery: Wearing this piece slows stamina recovery by 1 point per second. This penalty is separate from the movement changes caused by total equipment load.
  • Limited encounters: These boars do not respawn. The Parish boar is not your only chance to obtain the helm.
  • No special kill required: A backstab, headshot or fire kill is not required to receive the drop. Wearing the helm does not add a new tusk attack to your normal moveset.
