In-game description


Mask of the sorcerers who flooded New Londo
to seal away the Darkwraiths, and the
Four Kings who descended into Dark.

It symbolizes their resolve to keep the seal
shut forever and their atonement for all who
were sacrificed, but two of the three forsook
New Londo upon tiring of their duty.

Blighttown

  1. From the swamp bonfire in the stone tunnel, follow the edge of the swamp toward the rotating wooden waterwheel. Climb the ladders and ride an ascending platform.
  2. Continue up the exit scaffolding, looking for the side branch that ends beside a chest. Collect the outfit and Tin Banishment Catalyst from the nearby corpse; the chest contains Remedy.
  3. Keep the ladders and drop-offs in view when returning. Toxic blowdart enemies cover parts of these platforms.

Notes

  • Weight and poise: Equips on the head, weighs 1.5 and provides 0 poise. This piece does not help you withstand hits without staggering.
  • Physical protection: Provides 12 normal physical defense at base reinforcement. Its strongest physical protection at this level is against strike damage. Different attack types use different physical defenses.
  • Protection: At base reinforcement, its elemental defense is 12 magic, 7 fire, 9 lightning. Magic is its strongest elemental defense at this level. Defense values are not percentages of incoming damage blocked.
  • Status resistance: Adds 8 bleed, 8 poison and 8 curse resistance at base reinforcement. These help resist buildup; they do not cure an existing status.
  • Reinforcement: Reinforce to +5 with Twinkling Titanite. Reinforcement improves defenses and resistances without changing weight, poise or maximum durability. Armor does not use weapon embers or elemental conversion paths.
  • Separate catalyst: The matching catalyst and the armor are distinct items. Wearing the outfit does not increase the catalyst's spell power.
  • Sealers: The Mask of the Sealer is the head piece. It does not replace the Transient Curse needed to attack New Londo ghosts with ordinary weapons.
