}In-game description
Key to the sewer chamber in the Depths.
In any community, a few bad apples are sure
to exhibit insatiable greed. If they were
turned Undead, and banished to the Depths,
would they reconsider their ways?
Use this key to see for yourself.
Where to find
Treasure pickup
Depths: Giant Rat chamber
- Unlock the Depths below Capra Demon. Descend through the kitchen occupied by the Butchers.
- Behind the large butcher's table is a hole. Drop through onto the ledge above the Giant Rat, then descend when it is safe.
- Search the corpse in the rat chamber near the barred opening for the Sewer Chamber Key.
- Return to the corridor where slimes cling to the ceiling. Unlock the door at its end to reach the Depths bonfire.
- Clear enemies before stopping at the door. Slimes can drop from the ceiling onto the approach.
Notes
- Bonfire key: Opens the locked bonfire room in the Depths. Master Key is a substitute for this particular lock.
- Three separate locks: Key to the Depths opens the area entrance, Sewer Chamber Key opens its bonfire room, and Blighttown Key opens the exit gate after Gaping Dragon.
- No boss prerequisite: You can obtain the key and rest at this bonfire before defeating Gaping Dragon.
- Later journeys: This key is removed when a new journey begins. Collect it again if you need to reopen its lock; unlocking the door in the previous journey does not keep it open.
