Anor Londo, but even in the absence
of its overseer, capitulation is a disgrace.
In the name of a warrior's honor, do not
quickly resort to use of this crystal.

Where to find

Automatic arena grant

Battle of Stoicism: waiting area

  1. Free Dusk from the Golden Crystal Golem behind Darkroot Basin's Hydra after defeating the Hydra and reloading the area. Speak to her.
  2. After placing the Lordvessel, kill the blue golem near the Archives entrance lift for Broken Pendant. Return to Dusk's cave and examine the portal.
  3. Defeat Sanctuary Guardian, cross Royal Wood and defeat Artorias. The arena gazebo and Township entrance are beyond his arena.
  4. Beyond Artorias, find the gazebo opposite the stairs toward Gough's tower. Use a Battle of Stoicism entrance to enter the arena waiting area.
  5. Purple Coward's Crystal is added automatically on entering this arena system. You do not need a covenant rank or a victorious match to receive it.

Notes

  • Arena exit: Use it to withdraw from Battle of Stoicism. It is the arena counterpart to Black Separation Crystal, not a normal-world invasion tool.
  • Host leaves: If the host leaves using the crystal, the arena session ends. It is an exit rather than a victory reward.
  • Reusable: The crystal is not consumed when used. It is obtainable DLC equipment, not an unused record.
  • Finding a match: Receiving the crystal does not guarantee that another player is waiting in a compatible arena queue. You still need online participants for a match.
  • DLC included: Artorias of the Abyss and Battle of Stoicism are included in Remastered. No separate DLC purchase is needed.
